Elephant Trace is a data and intelligence layer built for responder workflows — not a consumer app. It provides a PSAP integration pathway, pre-built hazard profiles, and terrain overlays designed to put critical information in front of responders before they arrive on scene.

When a responder arrives at an elopement scene, they typically have a name, an address, and sometimes a photo. What they don't have: which direction the individual is likely to have gone, what terrain surrounds the location, what hazards are nearby, or how that person tends to behave under stress.
That gap has a cost measured in minutes, and minutes are the resource you don't get back. A pond two hundred yards from the house, a fence line with a known gap, a road with fast-moving traffic — knowing these details before you search changes where you look first. Not knowing them means covering ground you didn't need to cover while the clock keeps running.
Elephant Trace closes that gap by putting a pre-built hazard profile and terrain overlay in front of responders — without adding a new system to learn or a new step that slows down dispatch.
Pre-built family hazard profiles
Each profile is built and maintained by the family, and covers routines, communication needs, and known behavioral patterns relevant to a wandering event. Because families keep them current, responders aren't working from outdated intake paperwork.
Radius-based terrain overlays
Overlays cover waterways, traffic corridors, fencing gaps, and other proximity hazards around a given address, formatted as a clear visual reference responders can use in the field, not a data dump that requires interpretation.
Behavioral and environmental context
Profiles include elopement history and known patterns alongside hazards ranked by proximity and risk, giving responders a working sense of where to look first and what to expect when they find the individual.
Shareable, responder-ready format
Profiles are accessible at dispatch or on scene, shared directly by the family with their local agency or responder network, in a format built for fast reading under pressure — not a PDF buried in a case file.

Families build and own their profiles. Sharing with a local agency or responder network is a choice each family makes — there's no mandatory participation and no data collected without consent.
Once a family opts in, their profile reaches responders in a shareable format accessible at dispatch or on scene, so the information is available at the moment it's needed rather than requiring a separate request or lookup.
Families can update their profile as circumstances change, and responders always see the current version. There's no stale intake form sitting in a drawer — the data reflects the household as it is now.

The roadmap points toward direct CAD and dispatch integration — a data feed built into existing PSAP workflows rather than a separate system responders have to check. This is forward-looking: it is not currently live, and we want agencies to know exactly where things stand before any conversation goes further.
